Terms of Use
Please read these terms carefully before using the Stere platform and services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Stere platform, APIs, and related services (the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you may not use our Services. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Stere Technologies Ltd.
2. Description of Service
Stere provides a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) for the insurance industry, including API access for policy management, underwriting automation, distribution management, and related insurance technology services. Service specifications are detailed in our API documentation and service level agreements.
3. Account Registration
To access our Services, you must register an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. You are liable for all activities under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: use the Services for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems; interfere with or disrupt the Services; reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services; use the Services to transmit malware or harmful code; exceed rate limits or abuse API access; resell or redistribute the Services without authorization.
5. API Usage
API access is subject to rate limits and fair use policies as documented in our API reference. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend access for excessive usage. Production API keys must not be shared or exposed in client-side code. You are responsible for all API calls made with your credentials.
6. Intellectual Property
The Services, including all software, APIs, documentation, and content, are owned by Stere Technologies Ltd. and protected by intellectual property laws. Your use of the Services does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property. You retain ownership of data you submit through the Services.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stere shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stere Technologies Ltd., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Services, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement with 30 days written notice. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Provisions that should survive termination (including liability, indemnification, and intellectual property) shall remain in effect.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
